Paper Chromatography Journals

Paper chromatography is an analytical method used for the separation of colored chemicals or substances. It is primarily used as a teaching tool, having been replaced by other methods of chromatography, such as thin-layer chromatography. A paper chromatography method, two-dimensional chromatography involves using two solvents and spinning 90 ° of paper in between. This is useful for separating complex mixtures of compounds with similar polarity. Paper chromatography is a useful technique because it is relatively simple and requires only a small amount of material. Separations in paper chromatography are based on the same concepts as those in thin-layer chromatography, as is the form of thin-layer chromatography. A journal is a periodical publication intended to further advance science, typically through the coverage of new work. Most journals are highly specialized, but some of the oldest journals publish articles, reviews, editorials, short correspondence, letters and research papers in a broad variety of scientific fields.
