Molecular Diversity Of Tuberculosis

Molecular genotyping of tubercle bacillus isolates obtained from patients can detect the prevalence of latest epidemics and distinguish TB thanks to reactivation from TB thanks to recent transmission. Tuberculosis (TB) represents one among the foremost challenging threats to global human health. M. tuberculosis causes about 9 million new cases of active tuberculosis and 1.5 million deaths annually. Moreover, it's estimated that over one-third of the world’s population has latent tuberculosis infection, which represents an enormous reservoir for the disease. Exponential development of travel extends this threat worldwide.Ninety-five percent of cases occur in developing countries, where the shortage of proper health care systems results in incomplete case detection and treatment. The high prevalence of Human Immune Virus (HIV), which weakens the system , favors the spread of latent TB infection
