Genetic Biodiversity Scholarly Peer-review Journal

The academic meadow of population genetics includes many hypotheses and theories that related to genetic diversity. The neutral theory of evolution suggests that diversity is the result of the accumulation of neutral substitutions. Diversifying collection is the hypothesis that two sub-populations of a species live in several different environments that select for different alleles at a particular locus. This may occur, for example, if a species has a big range relative to the mobility of individuals within it. This happens in host–pathogen interfaces, where a great frequency of a defensive allele among the host means that it is more likely that a pathogen will spread if it is able to overcome that allele. Peer-reviewed or refereed journals have an editorial board of subject experts who review and evaluate submitted articles before accepting them for publication. A journal may be a scholarly journal but not a peer-reviewed journal.
