Corneal Neovascularization Review Articles

Corneal neovascularization is the excessive entry into the cornea of blood vessels from the limbal vascular plexus, caused by disruption of the equilibrium between angiogenic and antiangiogenic factors that preserves corneal transparency; Immature new blood vessels may contribute to lipid exudation, chronic inflammation and scarring, thereby threatening visual insight and corneal transparency. Ingested blood vessels often enter the visual axis in advance stages causing permanent vision threatening and can lead to rejection in patients with corneal grafts. A review article is an essay that sums up a topic's existing state of understanding. Instead of disclosing new data or research, a review article surveys and summarizes previously published studies. Review papers are often often called survey posts, or summary papers in news reporting.
