Thin Layer Chromatography Scholarly Journal

Thin Layer Chromatography is a technique used for the isolation of non-volatile mixtures. The experiment is carried out on a sheet of aluminum foil, plastic or glass that is coated with a thin layer of adsorbent material. The material commonly used is aluminum oxide, cellulose or silica gel. The spotted, the absorbent and the temperature. TLC is one of the fastest, cheapest, simplest and easiest chromatography techniques. Thin layer chromatography ( TLC) relies on the concept of separation. The distinction is based on the relative similarity of the compounds to both phases. Compounds in the mobile phase are passing across the surface of the stationary phase. Movement happens in such a way that compounds with a higher affinity to the stationary phase move slowly while the other compounds fly quickly. The isolation of the mixture is thus accomplished. At the end of the separation process, the individual components of the mixture appear as spots on the plates at their respective levels. Their character and purpose are defined by effective detection techniques. Factors affecting the retardation factor are the solvent system, the amount of material being. Open access journals are peer-reviewed scholarly journals of the Journal of Chromatography and Separation Techniques. The option for a researcher is to publish in a traditional journal, where only readers have immediate access, but to make the article accessible on their personal and/or institutional websites, a practice that many scholarly journals require.
