Size Exclusion Chromatography Innovations

Size Exclusion Chromatography (SEC) is commonly used as an analytical technique for characterizing natural and synthetic polymers, biopolymers, proteins and nanoparticles. It separates dissolved molecules by passing them through special chromatography columns which, based on their size, contain microporous packing material. It is defined as the separate sample elutes from the column, by a single concentration detector or a series of detectors. Using instrumentation capable of generating very high pressure and small particle-packed columns, this technique allows for greater efficiency in separation and faster analysis than the conventional SEC is achieved. UHPSEC is particularly advantageous for high-resolution oligomer analysis, very rapid polymer separation and comprehensive two-dimensional liquid polymer chromatography as second dimension. Innovations are the implementation of innovative approaches that fulfill new criteria, unbundled needs or current business needs. It is efficient through more efficient products , processes, services, technologies or new ideas that are readily available to markets, governments and society. Innovations are something fresh and unique, something important and new that splits the market or society.
