Mucins In Gastric Cancer

Mucins are high-atomic weight glycoproteins, which are intensely adorned with O-connected oligo-saccharides and n-glycan chains, connected to a protein spine. There are 21 mucin (MUC) qualities known in the human genome. These qualities encode 2 gatherings of mucins: discharged mucins and film bound mucins. The fundamental mucins communicated in the stomach are MUC 1 and MUC5AC and MUC6, MUC5AC, shaping the main part of the follower unstirred mucous layer, is emitted by surface foveolar cells, while MUC6 is discharged by neck and organ cells, and both are emphatically communicated in typical gastric mucosa.
