Integrated Pest Management Top Journals

Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is an efficient and environmentally sensitive approach to pest management that relies on a mixture of common-sense practices. IPM programs use current, comprehensive information on the life cycles of pests and their interaction with the environment. This information, together with available pest control methods, is employed to manage pest damage by the foremost economical means, and with the smallest amount possible hazard to people, property, and the environment. Integrated pest management (IPM), also referred to as integrated pest control (IPC) may be a broad-based approach that integrates practices for economic control of pests. IPM aims to suppress pest populations below the economic injury level (EIL). Pesticide Controls. An effective IPM program includes pesticides for prevention and active treatment. Pesticides pack necessary and powerful punches, especially when other IPM controls come Short. Invasive Japanese beetles, for example, devastate gardens and skeletonize leaves and blossoms. The IPM approach are often applied to both agricultural and non-agricultural settings, like the house, garden, and workplace. IPM takes advantage of all appropriate pest management options including, but not limited to, the judicious use of pesticides. In contrast, organic food production applies many of an equivalent Concepts as IPM but limits the utilization of pesticides to people who are produced from natural sources, as opposed to synthetic chemicals.In Europe top tier tended to mean the journals that the respective community believed to be of high quality. Very generally, journals could be ranked by impact, but even high-impact journals may not be considered top tier by your research community / university / funding agency.
