Gas Liquid Chromatography Innovations

 Gas-liquid chromatography and liquid chromatography are important analytical tools for analyzing complex mixtures qualitatively and quantitatively. These methodologies are readily adapted to the monitoring of therapeutic drugs; they not only provide accurate quantitation of specific drugs in clinical specimens, but also allow the detection, identification and quantification of drugs and drug metabolites not previously known to be present in a particular specimen. The time consuming elements in chromatographic techniques are sample preparation and sequential analysis. These two factors restrict the practical applications of chromatography to circumstances where the number of specimens examined is relatively limited. Innovations are something innovative and creative that comes into the market or culture as a important, modern one. Today, chromatography is used by a number of different scientific disciplines — and just as technology has fostered advancement in science; developments have broadened and enhanced the skills and variety of applications of chromatographers. For instance, a medicinal chemist who produces a new drug must purify it from undesirable and potentially toxic by-products generated in a chemical synthesis.
