Food chemistry analysis encompasses the identification and quantification of macro- and micronutrients, including proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, vitamins, and minerals, which determine the nutritional value of food products. Additionally, the presence of additives, preservatives, and colorants must be monitored to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines. One of the most important functions of food chemistry analysis is the detection of contaminants such as pesticides, heavy metals, mycotoxins, and microbial toxins, all of which pose significant risks to human health.
