Terephthaldehyde as a suitable building-block for synthesis of new Ugi adducts

In this work, an efficient Ugi-four component reaction (U-4CR) with terephthaldehyde as oxo compound for synthesis of new original symmetrical bis (á-amino acyl amides) derivatives in good yields is reported. Diversity of aldehydes, amines, and isocyanides were examined in this protocol to give the corresponding products in one-pot operation. The structure of products was characterized using IR, 1H and 13C NMR, and CHN analysis.
