Abstract

Synthesis and antimicrobial activity of 2-amino/2(1H) one/2(1H)thione-4-{4'-[(4'''-chlorophenyl) (phenyl) methyl amino] - phenyl}- 6-aryl pyrimidines

2-Amino-4-{4'-[(4'Â’Â’-chlorophenyl) (phenyl) methyl amino]-phenyl}-6-aryl pyrimidine (5a-5l)/4-{4'-[(4'Â’Â’-chlorophenyl) (phenyl)methylamino]-phenyl}- 6-aryl pyrimidin-2(1H)-one (6a-6l) /4-{4'-[(4'Â’Â’-chlorophenyl) (phenyl) methyl amino] - phenyl}-6-aryl pyrimidine -2(1H)-thione (7a-7l) have been synthesized. The products have been assayed for their biological activity against Gram +ve, Gram -ve bacteria and fungi. Some of the compounds showed moderate activity in concentration 50 ìg/ml.
