Development of small towns is a great strategy of promoting rural economic and social development, status, this paper analyzes the small town in China's urban and rural areas from the role and development prospect, and carries on the analysis to the small town space form of basic research and space layout planning, in order to achieve the preliminary study on the optimization of urban spatial form overall planning of small towns.
