This paper analyzes the role of the image identification technology in the security systems for intelligent buildings, and proposes that incorporating the image identification technology and technical support can enhance the intelligence and automation of security systems and thus provide users of intelligent buildings with more secure, convenient, and comfortable living and workplace environments
