Abstract

Antibacterial activity of some novel 1,8-naphthyridine containing thiazolidinones, �¢-lactam and 2,4-dihydroxy compounds

The effect of substituted 1,8-naphthyridine derivatives has been investigated for their antibacterial activity on five different bacteria by well diffusionmethod. Five bacteria Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Bacillus cereus, Pseudomonas putida and Salmonella paratyphiwere taken for the test. Some of the tested compounds were found to be toxic against the bacteria.
