Structural study of 6-methyl-4-(thiophen-2yl-methylene-amino)-3-thioxo-3,4-dihydro-1,2,4-triazin-5(2H)-oneAuthor(s): Mohammad Hakimi, Reza Takjoo, Abdoulhossien Massoudi
The title compound was synthesized from the reaction of 4-amino-6-methyl- 3-thioxo-3,4-dihydro-1,2,4-triazin-5(2H)- one (TAMTTO) with thiophene-2-carbaldehyde. The crystal structure was determined by singlecrystal X-ray diffraction. This compound is monoclinic C2/c with the following unit-cell parameters: a =23.135(6)Å, b =6.1108(13)Å, c= 16.378(4)Å, â = 106.805(3)°, Z = 8 and V = 2216.53 Å3. The final R value was 0.0266 for 2246 measured reflections. The triazine and thiophene ring exhibit 60.02º deviation. The inter- and intramolecular interactions give rise to a 3Dnetwork.
