Radiology with the advent of electronics and software developments reached advanced levels and capable of sensitive diagnosis and estimation of a given problem in the human body. These types of developments need to be summarized in the form of reviews. Physician performance evaluation has long been an integral part of professional medical practice. The purpose of the evaluation encompasses several competencies not limited to patient care but also including knowledge, interpersonal communication skills, professionalism, systems-based practice, and practice-based learning and improvement. Although practice performance is probably the most difficult aspect of quality to assess, the process has become unavoidable, and it is likely that if physicians do not embrace this change, someone else (government, third-party payers, and so on) will compel compliance.
