If the wild decapod crustacean is fortunate enough to measure his life in his natural habitat, he can live up to 30 years. A crab in captivity may have a way shorter life, not even reaching 1 year. However, with proper care, your crab can live up to twenty years. The marine resource study is extremely important and therefore the fisheries data are require for any coast, truth data depicting the state for future problems and solving the demand of food.
