Integrated Pest
Management (IPM) is an efficient and environmentally sensitive approach to pest
management that relies on a mixture of common-sense practices. IPM programs use current, comprehensive information on the life cycles of pests and their interaction with the environment. This information, together with available pest control methods, is employed to manage pest damage by the foremost economical means, and with the smallest amount possible hazard to people, property, and the environment. Integrated pest
management (IPM), also referred to as integrated pest control (IPC) may be a broad-based approach that integrates practices for economic control of pests.
