Agronomy is that the science and technology of manufacturing and using plants in agriculture for food, fuel, fiber, and land restoration. It's both a humanitarian career and a scientific one. Agronomy has come to encompass add the areas of plant genetics, plant physiology, meteorology, and soil science. It's the appliance of a mixture of sciences like biology, chemistry, economics, ecology, natural science , and genetics. Agronomists of today are involved many issues, including producing food, creating healthier food, managing the environmental impact of agriculture, distribution of agriculture, and extracting energy from plants. Agronomists often specialize in areas like crop rotation, irrigation and drainage, plant breeding, plant physiology, soil classification, soil fertility, weed control, and bug and pest control. Peer-reviewed (refereed or scholarly) journals - Articles are written by experts and are reviewed by several other experts within the field before the article is published within the journal so as to make sure the article’s quality. (The article is more likely to be scientifically valid, reach reasonable conclusions, etc.) In most cases the reviewers don't know who the author of the article is, in order that the article succeeds or fails on its own merit, not the reputation of the expert.
