Integrated Pest Management Open Access Journals

An effective IPM program includes pesticides for prevention and active treatment. Pesticides pack necessary and powerful punches, especially when other IPM controls fall short. Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is an efficient and environmentally sensitive approach to pest management that relies on a mixture of common-sense practices. IPM programs use current, comprehensive information on the life cycles of pests and their interaction with the environment. This information, along side available pest control methods, is used to manage pest damage by the foremost economical means, and with the littlest amount possible hazard to people, property, and the environment. Integrated pest management (IPM), also mentioned as integrated pest control (IPC) could also be a broad-based approach that integrates practices for economic control of pests. IPM aims to suppress pest populations below the economic injury level (EIL). Pesticide Controls. An effective IPM program includes pesticides for prevention and active treatment.
