In supporting and empowering UK topographical exploration the Society: ·         distributes the best worldwide grant in geology in Area, The Geographical Journal, Transactions of the Institute of British Geographers, Geo: Geography and Environment and the RGS-IBG Book Series ·         bolsters 31 examination and working gatherings which interface geographers with different authorities and encourage debate ·         gives awards to help research over the expansiveness of the discipline ·         issues news and occasions announcements and an online index of topography courses ·         arranges visit national and territorial occasions, including the yearly meeting which draws in built up and new geographers all through the world ·         holds broad data assets in the Society's library, map room, picture library ·         offers master staff guidance on fieldwork and neighborhood learning
