 A geographic information system (GIS) may be a system designed to capture, store, manipulate and analyze all kinds of geographical knowledge. Hence, a GIS developed for associate application, jurisdiction, enterprise, or purpose might not be essentially practical or compatible with a GIS that has been developed for a few alternative application, jurisdiction, enterprise, or purpose.
