Foot Arch Structure Research Articles

The foot is the distal area of the body to the leg and is made of 28 bones. The shape of the arches is designed in a manner similar to that of spring; bears the body weight and absorbs the shock produced by locomotion. The versatility that the arches impart on the foot is what enables everyday loco-motor activities such as walking and sprinting. The energy-saving spring hypothesis about the arch of the foot has been fundamental to theories of the mechanical structure and evolution of the foot. The metabolic energy saved by the arch is largely explained by the passive-elastic work it provides, which the active muscle would otherwise do. The three arches in the foot are Medial longitudinal arch, Lateral longitudinal arch, Transverse arch. These arches have an important role in standing, walking and running. Journal article is sometimes referred to as a Scientific Article, a Peer-Reviewed Article, or a Scholarly Research Article. Journal papers are sometimes referred to together as the Literature in a given area. Journal publications are most commonly Secondary Research Papers
