Electrochemical determination of p-Aminophenol at clay modified carbon paste electrode: Application in water samples.

The behavior of amodified carbon paste electrode (CPE) for p-aminophenol detection by cyclic voltammetry (CV) was studied. The electrode was built by incorporating the clay to carbon paste. The overall analysis involved a two-step procedure: an accumulation step at open circuit, followed by mediumexchange to a pure electrolyte solution for the voltammetric quantification. During the preconcentration step, para-aminophenol was adsorbed onto clay surface. The influence of various experimental parameters on the Clay-CPE response was investigated.
