Approximate solution of non-steady concentration and current at a hemispherical microelectrode - Homotopy perturbation approach

The analytical expressions of the steady and non-steady-state concentrations at a hemisphericalmicroelectrode for homogeneous reactionsmechanisms are derived in this paper. These simple new approximate expressions are valid for all values of time and possible values of rate constants. The steady state analytical results are compared with the available analytical results and are found to be in good agreement. Moreover, in this work we employ the Homotopy perturbation method (HPM) in Laplace space to solve the boundary value problem.
