Hemostasis

The process of prevention stop bleeding is called Hemostasis or haemostasis  and it  aims to keep blood within a damaged vessel (the opposite of hemostasis is hemorrhage) and  it is  first stage of wound healing and also take part in  coagulation, blood changing from a liquid to a gel. It is that the natural action that stops blood loss when an injury occurs.  (1) vascular spasm ( vasoconstriction ); (2) platelet plug formation; and (3) coagulation are the three steps involves in these process. Hemostasis is that the physiological process by which bleeding ceases. Hemostasis involves three basic steps: vascular spasm, the formation of a platelet plug, and coagulation, during which clotting factors promote the formation of a fibrin clot. Fibrinolysis is that the process during which a clot is degraded during a healing vessel.
