Eddies
Eddy is a current of water or air running contrary to the main current especially : a circular current. The ocean is a huge body of water that is constantly in motion. General patterns of ocean flow are called currents. Sometimes theses currents can pinch off sections and create circular currents of water called an eddy. You may have seen an eddy if you've ever gone canoeing and you see a small
whirlpool of water while you paddle through the water. The swirling motion of
eddies in the ocean cause nutrients that are normally found in colder, deeper waters to come to the surface. The term eddy current comes from analogous currents seen in water when dragging an oar breadthwise: localized areas of
turbulence known as
eddies give rise to persistent vortices. Somewhat analogously, eddy currents can take time to build up and can persist for very short times in conductors due to their inductance. All the research related to
eddies reliable in Journal of Vortex Science and Technology. It is one of the
indexed scholarly published
journals in eddy study. The
journals are regularly involved in publication of current research in the form of original research and reviews. The Editorial team of this journal includes globalized experts in the field of
eddies study involved in regular review of submitted manuscripts facilitating high quality of articles since many years. The articles published in this journal are
indexed in Media Finder, Journal Seek and Google Scholar. Journal of Vortex Science and Technology is a world class
open access journal published by OMICS Group, OMICS, being one of the international icons has been expanding publication services by acquiring different reputed
journals from many prestigious publishers worldwide. It has resulted into a repository of 700+ peer-reviewed
journals with the efforts and assistance of 50,000+ editorial board members running smoothly with exceptional quality. OMICS has been organizing more than 3000+ International Scientific Conferences every year providing a platform to scientific community across the globe.
