Biofertilizers Articles

Biofertilizers are the substance that contains microorganism's living or latent cells. Biofertilizers increase the nutrients of host plants when applied to their seeds, plant surface or soil by colonizing the rhizosphere of the plant. Biofertilizers are less expensive as compared to chemical fertilizers. There are five biofertilizers viz. Rhizobium, Azotobacter, Azospirillum and blue chlorophyte (BGA) are traditionally used as Biofertilizers. Rhizobiuminoculant is employed for leguminous crops like pulses. Azotobacter are often used with crops like wheat, maize, mustard, cotton, potato and other vegetable crops. A biofertilizer made up of this organism is applied either by coating seeds with the fungus (called inoculation),or putting it directly into the bottom where the plant's roots will live. ... Because the bacteria live within the roots, it transfers the nutrient directly into the plant. Several microorganisms are commonly used as biofertilizers including nitrogen-fixing soil bacteria (Azotobacter, Rhizobium), nitrogen-fixing cyanobacteria (Anabaena), phosphate-solubilizing bacteria (Pseudomonas sp.), Biofertilizers add nutrients through the natural processes of nitrogen fixation, solubilizing phosphorus, and stimulating plant growth through the synthesis of growth-promoting substances. ... Through the utilization of biofertilizers, healthy plants are often grown, while enhancing the sustainability and therefore the health of the soil. An article is a word that is used with a noun to specify grammatical definiteness of the noun, and in some languages extending to volume or numerical scope. The articles in English grammar are the and a/an, and in certain contexts some .
