Abstract
Synthesis of some 2-aminopyrimidine [1a-g] have been synthesized by the condensation of chalcone with guanidine hydrochloride in ethanol, 2-aminopyrimidins were treated with acetic anhydride to gives 2-acetamidopyrimidine [2a-g]. The structural assignment of the compounds was based on elements analysis and IR, 1H NMR data. All the synthesized compounds have been screened for their antibacterial activity and antifungal activity.
