Abstract
Synthesis Of Nanotubes And Nanospheres Of CuSCN Using CuO As The Precursor
Author(s): Ming Yang, Jian-Jun LiNnanotubes and nanospheres of CuSCN have been prepared by simple reactions between CuO, NH2OH·HCl and KSCN in the presence of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) and gelatin respectively at 80¢J. The products were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction, transmission electron microscopy and UV-visible absorption spectroscopy. The direct transition band gaps were estimated to be 3.82 and 3.91 eV respectively according to the results of optical measurements of nanotubes and nanospheres.
