Metal - polymeric hydrogels based on carboxymethylcellulose and silver nanoparticles: Obtaining and properties

In hydrogels fromsodium-carboxymethylcellulose were synthesised silver nanoparticles and effect of their structure and formon physical and chemical properties and bactericidal activity were studied. The shape, number and size of silver nanoparticles incorporated into the structure of hydrogels sodium-carboxymethylcellulose, are studied using transmission electron microscopy. Researches have shown that the spherical silver nanoparticles in structure of the hydrogel sodium-carboxymethylcellulose with size 2-30 nm have high bactericidal activity. Our results shows that changing size and shape of silver nanoparticles determine their biological activity.
