The present investigation deals with study of effect of flow rate on the discharge characteristics of 80WMg/AgCl and 37 kWMg/CuCl sea water activated batteries. Simulated sea water is used as the electrolyte. Pressure drop data obtained for a 37 kW specimen of Mg/CuCl revealed that the friction factor is constant although there is a significant variation in the flowrate of electrolyte. Fewpoints obtained for another 37 kWspecimen of Mg/CuCl battery are also compared with these data.
