Abstract Specialty chemicals play a vital role in microbial chemistry by enabling detailed investigation of microbial metabolism, regulation, and biochemical diversity. Unlike general laboratory reagents, specialty chemicals are designed for specific experimental purposes, such as enzyme inhibition, metabolic labeling, pathway modulation, and signaling analysis.
