Skinfold-analysis-open-access-journals.php
Skin folds or
skin folds are regions of
skin over which they fold. Many
skin folds are distinct, heritable anatomical characteristics, and can be used to distinguish animal species, while others are non-specific and can be created either by individual organism formation or by arbitrary application of force to the skin, either by body muscle action or by external force, e.g., gravity. In addition to the skin, anatomical folds can also be observed in other structures and tissues, such as the ileocecal fold underneath the cecum terminal ileum.
Skin fold analyzes include taking subcutaneous fat measurements using skinfold calipers at various parts of the body. Then, the sum of these measurements is placed in a formula that takes into account the age and gender of the individual being measured and gives us their percentage of body fat.
Skin folds are of interest to cosmetology, as some kinds may be considered aesthetically unwanted, and to medicine, because some of them are susceptible to
inflammation and infection. Open access
journals follow well-established peer review procedures, which uphold high publishing standards. The slogan of the
Open Access Journals is to encourage accurate, impartial research information and data, by keeping as clear as possible the international publishing standards.
