Renal Osteodystrophy Research Articles

Renal osteodystrophy is currently defined as an alteration of bone morphology in patients with chronic renal disorder (CKD). It is one measure of the skeletal component of the systemic disorder of chronic kidney disease-mineral and bone disorder (CKD-MBD. Early indicators of renal osteodystrophy include high phosphorus and/or high PTH levels, red eyes, itching and sores from calcium-phosphorus deposits.
