Family planning allows individuals and couples to decide and evaluate the number of children they want and the timing of their pregnancies. Contraceptive methods are used to achieve the purpose, and involuntary infertility treatment. Spacing and reducing births directly impacts the
health and safety of women as well as the result of each pregnancy. Short spacing of births has important
health effects on both mothers and babies. Some of the implications for babies is
low birth weight,
