Diabetic Health

Diabetes may be a disease that happens when your blood sugar , also called blood glucose , is just too high. Blood glucose is your main source of energy and comes from the food you eat. Insulin, a hormone made by the pancreas, helps glucose from food get into your cells to be used for energy. Diabetes may be a chronic condition related to abnormally high levels of sugar (glucose) within the blood. Insulin produced by the pancreas lowers blood glucose. Absence or insufficient production of insulin, or an inability of the body to properly use insulin causes diabetes. Takeaway. Type 2 diabetes may be a common condition that causes high blood glucose levels. Early signs and symptoms can include frequent urination, increased thirst, feeling tired and hungry, vision problems, slow wound healing, and yeast infections. The most common sorts of diabetes are; type 1, type 2, pre-diabetes, and gestational. The excess blood glucose in diabetes can wreak havoc on blood vessels everywhere the body and cause complications. It can severely damage the eyes, kidneys, nerves, and other body parts; cause sexual problems; and double the danger of attack and stroke. People with type I diabetes and a few people with type 2 diabetes may have to inject or inhale insulin to stay their blood glucose levels from becoming too high. Various sorts of insulin are available, and most are grouped by how long their effect lasts. There are rapid, regular, intermediate, and long-acting insulins.
