Child Anxiety

Anxiety disorders cause intense fear and worry, and changes in a child's behaviour, sleep, eating, or mood. Children can sense hectic about different things at specific ages. Many of these concerns are a regular a part of growing up. From the age of around 6 months to 3 years it is very commonplace for young children to have separation anxiety. They may become clingy and cry when separated from their mother and father or carers. This is a regular level in a child's development and should prevent at around age 2 to 3. It is also common for preschool-age children to develop specific fears or phobias. Common fears in infancy include animals, insects, storms, heights, water, blood, and therefore the dark. These fears usually move away progressively on their own. There may also be other times in a child's life while they experience nerve-racking.
