Cervical Plexus
Cervical plexus is formed from the anterior primary rami of C1–C4, deep to the sternocleidomastoid
cervical plexus is a network of nerve fibres that supplies innervation to some of the structures in the neck and trunk in muscle and in front of the scalene medius and levator scapulae muscles. There is anastomosis with accessory nerve, hypoglossal nerve and sympathetic trunk. Cervical plexus emerge from the posterior triangle at the nerve point, a point which lies midway on the posterior border of the sternocleidomastoid to the plexus owing to its contribution to the formation of one of the motor branches of the
cervical plexus called the phrenic nerve.
