Anopheles Gambiae

The Anopheles gambiae complex consists of a minimum of seven morphologically indistinguishable species of mosquitoes within the Anopheles . The body of the adult Anopheles mosquito is dark brown to black in color and has three sections which are the top , thorax and abdomen. When resting, the stomach area of the anopheles mosquito species points upward, instead of being even with the encompassing surface like most mosquitoes. The larvae occur during a wide selection of habitats, but most species prefer clean, unpolluted water.Hatchlings of Anopheles mosquitoes are found in freshwater or saltwater bogs, mangrove swamps, rice fields, lush jettison, the sides of streams and waterways, and little, impermanent downpour pools.
