 In birthday celebration of worldwide Astronomy Month, we are taking you on a galactic journey of the world’s biggest, most advanced telescopes ashore and in space, wherein our Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) groups are gambling a large role. It is the low down on STFC’s contribution to world elegance astronomy – the technical innovations, the research, and the way we percentage new information to encourage and capture the creativeness of humans both young and no longer so young. Astronomers getting to know approximately the Universe want massive and powerful telescopes to peer deep into space – to take a look at regions never visible before – to expose the secrets of how the Universe has evolved, and tell us why it's far the manner it's far today. They also need telescopes that seize one of a kind component of the electromagnetic spectrum, which accommodates radio, microwave, infrared, visible, UV, x-ray, and gamma ray.
