Tau Pathology Research Articles
Tauopathies are a class of neurodegenerative diseases associated with the pathological aggregation of tau protein in the human brain. Tau pathology concerns many familial or sporadic neurodegenerative disorders, such as Alzheimer's disease (AD), progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP), corticobasal degeneration (CBD), Pick's disease (PiD), FTDP-17, myotonic dystrophy (MyoD), and many other diseases. Tau pathology is suspected to accumulate first in the Lateral Entorhinal Cortex (LEC) and then spread to other sites in the medial temporal lobe, such as the perirhinal cortex, as well as neocortical sites such as the posterior cingulate cortex. Scholarly journal is a peer-reviewed journal in which scholarship relating to a particular academic discipline is published. Scholarly journals serve as forums for the introduction and presentation for scrutiny of new research, and the critique of existing research. Content typically takes the form of articles presenting original research, review articles, and book reviews. The term Scholarly journal applies to scholarly publications in all fields; this article discusses the aspects common to all academic field journals.
