Scholarly Open Access Lipidomics Journals
Lipidomics is a large-scale study of cellular lipid pathways and networks in biological systems. The term "lipidome" is used to define the complete lipid profile within a cell , tissue, organism, or
ecosystem and is a subset of "metabolome" that also includes the other three major groups of biological molecules: proteins / amino acids, sugars, and nucleic acids. Lipidomics researchers investigate the structures, roles, interactions, and dynamics of cellular lipids and the changes that occur during system disturbance. Journal article is sometimes referred to as a scientific paper, a peer-reviewed paper, or a scholarly research article. Journal articles are often referred to together as The Literature in a given field. Most frequently journal articles are primary research articles. They may also be Review Articles, however. Such kinds of papers have various meanings and demands. Often, a new tool or approach is defined in an article. Since publications in scientific
journals are descriptive, carefully referenced and peer-reviewed, journal repositories are the best place to search for knowledge about your
species from previous research. Without a background in the field, journal papers can be difficult to understand-but you don't need to understand a whole article to get useful knowledge out of it. Academic peer review is the method of subjecting the scholarly work, thesis, or ideas of an author to the examination of those who are experts in the same field before a paper is published in a journal discussing this work.
