Messenger RNA-s

Messenger RNA is known as mRNAand it is a single-stranded RNA molecule that is corresponding to one of the DNA strands of a gene. The mRNA is an RNA version of the gene that leaves the nucleus and moves to the cytoplasm where proteins are made. The primary function of mRNA is to act as an intermediary between the genetic information in DNA and the amino acid sequence of proteins. mRNA contains codons that are complementary to the sequence of nucleotides on the template DNA and direct the formation of amino acids through the action of ribosomes and tRNA Making mRNA from DNA, the process of is called transcription, and it take place in the nucleus. Synthesis of proteins are directed by the mRNA, which occurs in the cytoplasm. mRNA formed in the nucleus is transported out of the nucleus and into the cytoplasm where it attaches to the ribosomes.
