Influenza Peer Review Journals
Influenza is a viral infection that attacks your respiratory system — your nose, throat and lungs.
Influenza is commonly called the flu, but it's not the same as stomach "flu"
viruses that cause diarrhea and vomiting. For most people,
influenza resolves on its own. The flu is caused by
influenza viruses that infect the nose, throat, and lungs. These
viruses spread when people with flu cough, sneeze or talk, sending droplets with the
virus into the air and potentially into the mouths or noses of people who are nearby. Unlike type A flu viruses, type B flu is found only in humans. Type B flu may cause a less severe reaction than type A flu virus, but occasionally, type B flu can still be extremely harmful.
Influenza type B
viruses are not classified by subtype and do not cause pandemics. Unlike type A flu viruses, type B flu is found only in humans. Type B flu may cause a less severe reaction than type A flu virus, but occasionally, type B flu can still be extremely harmful.
