Hyperthyroidism Journals
Hyperthyroidism occurs when your thyroid gland produces too much of the
hormone thyroxine. Hyperthyroidism can accelerate our body metabolism, causing unintentional weight loss and a rapid or irregular heartbeat. Several treatments are available for hyperthyroidism.
Through the
hormones produced by it, the thyroid gland affects almost all of the metabolic processes in the body. Thyroid disorders can lie from small harmless goiter (enlarged gland) that needs no treatment to life-threatening cancer. The most common thyroid problems is abnormal production of thyroid hormones. Too much thyroid
hormone takes in a condition known as hyperthyroidism. Insufficient
hormone production results to hypothyroidism. Although the effects can be unpleasant or irritable, most thyroid issues can be managed well if properly diagnosed and treated.
Your thyroid creates and produces
hormones that play a vital role in many different systems throughout your Organ system. When the thyroid makes either too much or too little of these important hormones, it becomes a thyroid disease. There are several different types of thyroid disease, including hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, thyroiditis and Hashimoto’s thyroiditis.
Several different disorders come when your thyroid produces too much
hormone (hyperthyroidism) or not enough (hypothyroidism).
