Coastal-erosion Open Access Journals
"Coastal erosion cares all round the world, that may be a problem at many
coastal sites exacerbated by human activities, and its adaptive
management through reasonable mitigation measures is additionally within the ascendant. China features a coastline of 32,000 km, third of which is occupied by sandy coast. consistent with the newest report of the State Oceanic Administration (SOA, PRC), 3,255 km soft coast is affected by severe
coastal erosion, 76% of which is sandy coast, the remainder contributed by muddy coast.
Coastal erosion leads to heavy land loss and aggravates financial burden, which is unacceptable.
Coastal erosion
management of China, aiming at facilitating the sustainable relationship between socioeconomic development and protection of
coastal environment, may be a systematic process of using scientific technology, administrative and policy to understand a socialized, scientific and informative
coastal erosion
management system so as to attenuate the adverse impacts of
coastal erosion hazard. Shilong Luo;
