Cellular Biomechanics

Cells are the structural and functional devices of all residing organisms. Cells are continually subjected to mechanical loads from a wide type of sources 2000), differentiation (Titushkin et al. 2007), and gene [removed]Shieh and Athanasiou 2007) involve mechanical homes. To date, studies have furnished a biochemical framework for know-how the mechanotransduction techniques and responses of cells to mechanical stimuli (Cohen et al., 1997). Nevertheless, it remains arguable as to how cells experience mechanical stimuli and trigger subsequent biochemical reactions. Understanding these cellular behaviors and their underlying mechanisms could be advanced by means of exploring the mechanical homes of cells and the extracellular components that confer such mechanical properties.
