Biofilm Microbes Review Articles

Biofilm Microbes is the layer of microbes that grow collectively on a single surface. Biofilm bacteria is the bacterial cell communities densely grow and form a layer either on a living or non-lining surface. Sinusitis, Chronic wounds, Cystic fibrosis, Atherosclerosis is some of the conditions in which biofilms are associated with. Superficial biofilms that are formed as dental plaques can be removed physically. Biofilms can grow in most extreme environments such as hot and cold. Some biofilms will be formed as a combination of both bacteria and fungi. The open access journals are peer reviewed scholarly journals of Microbiology. Genetic studies of single-species biofilms have shown that they form in multiple steps, require intercellular signalling, and demonstrate a profile of gene transcription that is distinct from that of planktonic cells. From this perspective, biofilm formation may be viewed as a developmental process that shares some of the features of other bacterial developmental processes such as sporulation of gram-positive bacteria, fruiting body formation in Myxococcus xanthus, and stalked-cell formation by Caulobacter crescentus.
